BI PRIDE 2008
Boston hosts the largest Pride celebration in New England, with over 1 million participants. Not only that, we do it in the first state to allow same-sex marriage!
This year the bi community began the festivities with a brunch sponsored by the Boston Bisexual Women’s Network and madfemmepride. Afterwards, we all lined up at the parade starting point on Tremont St.in Boston’s South End, and the Bisexual Resource Center contingent marched through Back Bay, up and over Beacon Hill to the Festival site at City Hall Plaza. As is increasingly the case, our diverse group was met with “Yay, bisexuals” cheers from onlookers along the entire parade route. We were indeed bursting with pride by the time we arrived at the festival site.
Our booth at the festival was packed with a constant stream of visitors. All in all, the day was a blast and a great success for the Boston bisexual community.
